Special thanks for Dr. Carol Wittmeyer, Dean of the School of Business for enthusiastically supporting the program.

This 4-day course is designed for high school students. It makes use of the Socratic Method, mini-lectures and round table discussions.  Students are assigned a few readings to engage with the topics and prepare for discussions.

Medical practice and scientific research in the biomedical sciences are, at their core, human activities governed by reason. After completing this course, students are able to describe bioethical issues of acute relevance in the world today. They can apply ethical principles to conduct analyses of specific problems and to propose potential solutions.
